Job summary

Glengariff Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist to join a dedicated geriatrics team. The RT will evaluate and treat residents independently, perform bedside therapies, manage equipment, and document care according to facility procedures.

The role emphasizes teamwork with nursing and IDT members, experience with long-term care, and commitment to resident well-being in a skilled nursing setting. Weekend coverage is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program.
• Licensed as RRT or CRT.

Responsibilities

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory therapies for patients with various respiratory illnesses/diseases.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment.
• Perform a variety of bedside treatments.
• Attend in-services for nursing staff every quarter.
• Complete daily, weekly and monthly documentation.
• Attend applicable IDT meetings.
