Job summary

Glengariff Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist to join our skilled nursing team. The RT will evaluate and treat geriatric residents, maintain records, and operate respiratory equipment with minimal supervision in a facility setting.

The role requires an COARC-accredited degree, state licensure (RRT/CRT) and BLS certification, with experience in long-term care. Weekend coverage is expected, with hourly compensation in the mid-range.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program.
• Licensed as RRT or CRT.
• Licensed in the state of practice; BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory therapies to rehab or treat patients.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment.
• Perform a variety of bedside treatments.
• Provide in-services for nursing staff quarterly.
• Complete daily, weekly and monthly documentation.
• Attend applicable IDT meetings.
• Experience with tracheotomy is preferred.
• Experience in a long-term care setting is preferred.
• Follow facility procedures and protocols.
• Complete tracking, auditing and caseload management.
• Perform related duties as required.
