Job summary

Bethany Center For Rehabilitation and Healing is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist to join a skilled nursing team. The RT will assess and treat residents, initiate therapies, document daily activities, and participate in IDT meetings, with emphasis on geriatric care and independence in therapy.

The role requires licensure as an RRT or CRT in the practicing state, COARC-accredited education, and prior experience in long-term care settings, including tracheostomy care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program.
• Licensed as RRT or CRT.
• Licensed in the state in which practicing; BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques for residents with respiratory and non-respiratory conditions.
• Initiates therapies, maintains patient records, operates and checks equipment.
• Completes bedside treatments and documentation on a daily/weekly/monthly basis.
• Attends IDT meetings and ensures compliance with facility protocols.
• Experience with tracheotomy and long-term care setting required.
