Job summary

The role requires an RCP license and current BLS, with duties including following physician orders and maintaining equipment. The position is full-time (36 hours per week) with shifts from 7:00 a.m.

to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, plus on-call status.

Qualifications

• Good public relation skills and ability to interact with people.
• Strong computer skills are necessary.
• Respiratory Therapy experience preferred.
• Must be able to assist other staff when problems and/or questions arise.
• Must work any shift, including weekends and holidays.
• Must maintain patient confidentiality and information per policy and procedures.
• Must be dependable, trustworthy, and flexible.

Responsibilities

• Performs all respiratory procedures per physician’s orders.
• Maintains patent airways and performs appropriate bronchial hygiene techniques.
• Charts and documents procedures according to department policy.
• Performs necessary oxygen rounds and replaces supplies as needed.
• Disassembles, cleans and re-assembles Respiratory Therapy equipment.
