Rainbow Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking a Weekend Registered Nurse (RN) for Bartlett, TN. New increased wages and a $5,000 sign-on bonus for full-time shifts (3–11 pm, 11–7 am, and Weekend Warrior) are offered.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Licenses/Certification: Valid RN license in the state of employment; Valid CPR certification.
• Experience: One year of nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and lead team conferences in developing individualized nursing care plans.
• Assess and document residents’ conditions and nursing needs.
• Implement physician orders accurately and promptly.
• Assign nursing care to team members based on resident needs and staff capabilities.
• Supervise, direct, and evaluate LPNs, LVNs, and CNAs.
• Administer medications, start IVs, and document treatments per regulations.
• Participate in orientation and ongoing training for staff.
• Assist physicians with tests and procedures within nursing scope.
• Ensure supplies and equipment are maintained safely and economically.
• Coordinate nursing care for residents scheduled for therapy/procedures.

Summary

The Registered Nurse plans, coordinates, and provides total nursing care for residents and provides supervision and guidance to clinical staff members.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.

• Experience: One year of nursing experience preferred.

Job Functions

• Initiate and lead team conferences in the development of individualized nursing care plans.
• Assess and document the resident’s condition and nursing needs.
• Accurately and promptly implement physician‑orders.
• Assign nursing care to team members in accordance with resident needs and staff capabilities.
• Supervise, direct, and evaluate LPNs, LVNs, and CNAs.
• Administer medications, start IVs and perform treatments for assigned residents, and document those treatments as required by company and state, local, and federal rules and regulations.
• Participate in orientation and in‑service training for personnel.
• Assist physicians with special tests and procedures within the scope of state‑specified Nursing Practice Act.
• Ensure that supplies are utilized economically and that equipment is clean and maintained safely.
• Report and record pertinent observations and reactions concerning residents.
• Coordinate nursing care of residents scheduled for therapy or procedures by other departments.
• Interview applicants, recommend hires, and participate in counseling, disciplinary action, and termination of staff to the extent permitted by state practice act.
• Supervise the nursing unit, which includes scheduling and directing the nursing staff to the extent permitted by state practice act.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Preferred Education

• Associates or better in Nursing.
