Job summary

Project HOME seeks a dedicated Support Staff member to assist residents living with mental health challenges at Sacred Heart Recovery Residence in Philadelphia. You will help with safety, documentation, and recovery activities while supporting daily living and mealtime routines.

This on-site role emphasizes compassionate engagement and crisis de-escalation skills. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, ServSafe certification within 90 days, and at least 1 year in behavioral health

Qualifications

Basic computer/technology literacy.
Knowledge of crisis intervention and de-escalation.
Good communication skills, both verbally and in writing, excellent interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with all levels of staff and residents.

Responsibilities

Maintain site health & safety: control access and log guests, ensure safety.
Conduct and document building rounds for safety of residents and premises.
Address urgent/crisis situations using de-escalation and follow emergency procedures.
Manage resident interactions independently on-site with on-call support.
Answer calls, take messages, and document shift summaries in logs and systems.
Engage residents and community members; facilitate recovery activities.
Attend meetings/trainings and assist with daily living tasks, meals, and duties.
Monitor residents’ medications per policy and site protocols.
