Job summary

Lakewest Assisted Living in Dallas, TX invites a Weekend Receptionist to join our reception team. This role greets guests, answers calls, screens visitors, and supports daily front desk operations to ensure a welcoming environment.

You'll work Saturdays and Sundays from 8am to 5pm, assisting with mail, deliveries, and administrative tasks while maintaining a professional image for residents and staff. Excellent communication and computer skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Excellent presentation and communication skills required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong customer service skills and professional appearance.
• Ability to operate standard office equipment and computer systems.
• Experience with Outlook/Word/Excel is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Answers multi-line telephone and takes messages.
• Greet visitors and maintain a welcoming front desk.
• Sort incoming mail and distribute within the office.
• Prepare and send packages; arrange FedEx or mailings.
• Order shipping and mailing supplies as needed.
• Maintain neat appearance and professional image for the management office.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Administrator.

Key Responsibilities:

• Answers multi-line telephone, receives/delivers telephone messages
• Greet visitors
• Sorts incoming mail and distributes throughout office
• Prepares weekly FedEx packages, schedules FedEx ground pickups and certified mail requests
• Orders shipping and mailing supplies
• Sorts accounts payable checks, folds and inserts checks and runs through postage meter
• Maintains neat appearance and dresses appropriately to provide a positive image for the management office
• Completes other tasks/duties as may be assigned by the Administrator

Job Requirements:

• A high school diploma is required
• Excellent presentation and communication skills are required
• Computer skills: Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Working knowledge of common office machines (calculator, copy machine, facsimile, postage meters and folding machine) and knowledge of various computer systems is helpful
• Exceptional customer service skills
