Job summary

Springfield Hospital, Inc. in Vermont is hiring a Dietary Aide to support patient meals and the hospital cafeteria. You will follow tray assembly procedures, portion foods accurately, assist on the tray line, and deliver trays to patients. Ensure sanitation and safety standards are met, wash dishes, and help train new staff. Weekend and rotating holidays availability required.

• Ability to read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Follow department procedure for tray assembly.
• Utilize weights and measures to assure proper portioning.
• Assist on tray line and delivers trays to patients.
• Follow all sanitation and food safety guidelines.
• Wash dishes.
• Coordinate area to ensures timeliness of duties.
• Have the ability to operate cash register when working in the cafeteria.
• Assist in the training of new staff members.
• Attends department specific in-service programs and mandatory hospital wide programs.
