Barre Gardens in Barre, VT is seeking a dependable Dietary Assistant to join our skilled nursing facility. You will work with dietary and healthcare professionals to provide quality food service for residents while following dietary policies and food safety standards.

Shifts available include full-time, part-time and PRN; responsibilities include serving meals, assisting cook, delivering trays, cleaning equipment, and maintaining a sanitary kitchen.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• We are now accepting applications for 16–17-year-olds (conditions apply)
• Previous dietary or food service experience preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
• Dependable and committed to providing quality service to residents

Responsibilities

• Assist in serving meals in a timely manner
• Assist the cook with meal preparation and food production
• Serve food trays from carts and dining rooms and transport them to the dishwashing area
• Clean worktables, meat blocks, refrigerators/freezers, and other kitchen equipment
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen environment
• Follow all dietary, sanitation, and infection control policies
• Assist with kitchen cleanup and other dietary duties as assigned
