Job summary

Indiana University Health in Fort Wayne seeks a Diagnostic X-Ray Technologist for a Special Weekend Option. Schedule: Sat-Sun 6:00 AM–6:30 PM, 0.6 FTE (24 hours/week).

The role covers general radiology, fluoroscopy, and surgical imaging, with orientation across multiple Fort Wayne sites. Requires 0–3 years' experience, BLS, ARRT RT(R) eligibility or board-eligible status with credential within 6 months, and an active ISDH license or student permit.

Qualifications

• 0–3 years of relevant radiologic imaging experience.
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• ARRT Radiologic Technologist registration or board-eligible status; credential within 6 months if board eligible.
• Active Indiana ISDH Radiologic Technologist license or ISDH Radiology Student Permit.

Responsibilities

• Operate x-ray, fluoroscopy, portable x-ray, and surgical imaging equipment.
• Explain exams, position patients, and ensure safety and documentation.
• Collaborate with radiologists and clinicians to obtain quality images.
• Follow radiation safety protocols and document patient history in EMR.
• Support rotating assignments including procedures with minimally invasive techniques.
