Job summary

Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis seeks a Radiologic Technologist to position patients precisely and select optimal exposure factors to produce high-quality diagnostic images while minimizing retakes.

Requirements include BLS within 30 days and ARRT Radiography credential within 180 days, plus a high school diploma with experience or an Associate’s/Technical degree. This full-time role offers comprehensive benefits and a weekend schedule Fri–Sun 08:00–20:00.

Qualifications

• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• ARRT Radiography credential within 180 days of hire.
• High school diploma or equivalent with relevant experience OR an Associate's/Technical degree.

Responsibilities

• Position patients and select optimal exposure factors to produce high-quality diagnostic images with minimal retakes.
• Administer contrast media and medications per regulations, following ALARA safety practices.
• Verify lead markers and patient history before PACS submission to ensure accuracy of records.
• Monitor patient stability during procedures and report any abnormal responses promptly.
• Maintain equipment integrity and a sterile, organized clinical environment with lock-out/tag-out safety as needed.
