Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is hiring a Quality Technician for the weekend shift (Fri–Sun) to verify first article and in-process component conformance using CMM and standard work instructions. The role supports Manufacturing Technicians by troubleshooting, updating procedures, and ensuring data integrity on the shop floor.

The ideal candidate has 2 years of inspection and blueprint-reading experience, familiarity with calibration and precision inspection tools, and proficiency with SolidWorks and MS Office.

Qualifications

• 2 years experience inspecting machined parts required.
• 2 years experience blueprint reading required.
• Experience using precision inspection tools and familiarity with calibration requirements.
• Proficient computer skills with SolidWorks and Microsoft Office preferred.
• CMM experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Operators, Buyers and Engineers to resolve dimensional challenges.
• Apply 5S to improve cleanliness, takt time and consistency.
• Identify and communicate program change needs to reduce Red Dots.
• Maintain SW and SPIs to ensure consistency.
• Perform first article and in-process inspections on shop floor processes.
• Complete miscellaneous inspections as needed.
• Maintain data records and DMT tracking in accordance with retention rules.
• Ensure timely completion of DMT dispositions for defective materials.
• Maintain inspection files and database records.
• Handle RMA dispositions as required.
• Provide quality training as assigned.
