Job summary

Fortress Nutrition seeks a detail-driven Quality Technician for our Weekend Shift to support high-speed beverage canning operations. You will perform quality testing, ensure food safety, and maintain accurate documentation in real time.

This role emphasizes GMP compliance, environmental monitoring, and collaboration with production teams. The schedule offers a 3-day weekend, paid 40 hours, with a Friday-Sunday sequence and a competitive pay.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2+ years of experience in a Quality Control role (food, beverage, pharmaceutical, or similar).
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Reliable, flexible, and able to adapt to changing priorities.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and organizing skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Office programs.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality control testing on raw materials, in-process, and finished goods.
• Collect and prepare samples for third-party laboratory testing.
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory instrumentation (pH meters, titrators, Brix/density tools).
• Communicate quality data and provide guidance to production teams.
• Complete documentation (MMRs, logs, test records) accurately in real time.
• Support audits from regulatory and third-party organizations.
• Conduct environmental monitoring and testing programs.
• Assist with calibration programs and customer complaint investigations.
• Cross-train to ensure full quality coverage across operations.
• Follow GMPs, food safety and sanitation standards; overtime as needed.
