Job summary

Sigma Health Rehab in Rochester, NY is actively seeking a weekend Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to work in a Skilled Nursing Facility. This position offers mentorship, weekly pay, and flexible scheduling, with evenings and weekends available.

You will assist residents with therapy activities, follow the plan of care, monitor progress, and collaborate with PTs to update rehabilitation plans. Requires graduation from an accredited PTA program and current New York State PTA license.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
• Current New York State PTA license.

Responsibilities

• Select therapy activities that follow the plan of care set out by supervising therapists.
• Assist residents in carrying out daily activities.
• Monitor residents' performance in therapy activities and document as needed.
• Teach residents how to use equipment to assist daily function.
• Collaborate with the PT to establish a rehabilitation plan.
• Maintain a cooperative relationship among healthcare team members and contribute to team effort.

Education
