Job summary

UPMC McKeesport is seeking a full-time Staff Nurse for a 4 M General Surgery unit. The role is part of a Weekend Program with 2, 12-hour shifts and a 25% bonus for eligible weekend nurses.

The nurse will provide direct patient care, teach patients and families, and collaborate across departments to ensure quality outcomes. The position requires RN licensure, with BSN preferred and at least 6 months of RN experience.

Qualifications

• RN with at least 6 months of experience; BSN preferred.
• RN licensure in the facility's state; CPR/BLS certifications as required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates and applies nursing care to a group of patients and families.
• Delivers teaching to patients and families to guide through episodes of care and transitions.
• Develops productive relationships with colleagues; participates in quality improvement and governance.
• Applies the nursing process within Relationship Based Care to create a healing environment.
