Job summary

UPMC McKeesport is seeking a full-time Staff Nurse to support the 4 M General Surgery unit. The role requires 2 twelve-hour shifts and is part of our Weekend Program, offering flexibility.

Weekend program adds a 25% bonus to the base rate for eligible nurses. UPMC invests in nurses from day one through professional development, education, and mentorship within a collaborative care team.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience in adult patient education and teaching.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge of adult learning principles and provides teaching to patients and families.
• Develops and maintains productive working relationships within the team and with patients.
• Applies the nursing process within Relationship Based Care to plan and deliver patient care.
• Participates in quality improvement activities and promotes patient safety and satisfaction.
• Adapts to change and supports the care team in daily operations.
