Job summary

Jill’s House is seeking a compassionate, experienced Program Manager to provide leadership and oversight for our Weekend Program with excellence, joy, and Christ-centered care.

The ideal candidate will be a servant‑leader who can build trust, drive culture, and inspire a team to serve with care and excellence. They will motivate, coach, and influence others toward strong performance and deliver person‑centered care in a faith‑aligned environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities.
  • Strong knowledge of behavior support strategies and person-centered care.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple direct reports.
  • Strong coaching, communication, and staff development skills.
  • Ability to model Christ-centered engagement.
  • Ability to remain calm and directive in emergencies or escalated situations.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, leadership, and time management skills.
  • Flexibility to adjust work availability including some evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day execution of the Tysons Weekend Program.
  • Supervise, coach, and develop Direct Support Professionals.
  • Support staff during client care routines, behavior support, documentation, and urgent program needs.
  • Help ensure excellent, person-centered care for the individuals served.
  • Communicate with parents/guardians, external partners, and internal teams.
  • Partner with leadership to ensure consistency and excellence across programs.
  • Support documentation, compliance, training, staff development, and continuous improvement.

Weekday and Weekend availability is required

  • Friday - 4pm-10:30 pm - Supervising on the floor
  • Saturday - 6am-7 pm - Supervising on the floor
  • Sunday - 6am-4 pm - Supervising on the floor
  • Wednesday - Admin hours

Additionally, the ideal candidate for this role will find enjoyment in motivating, coaching, and influencing others toward strong team performance, accountability, and consistent program execution.

In this role, you’ll help ensure that our Weekend Program creates a safe, joyful, and well‑organized environment for our clients that is aligned with our mission. Key responsibilities for this position include:

  • Leading the day‑to‑day execution of the Tysons Weekend Program
  • Supervising, coaching, and developing Direct Support Professionals
  • Supporting staff during client care routines, behavior support, documentation, and urgent program needs
  • Helping ensure excellent, person‑centered care for the individuals we serve
  • Communicating with parents/guardians, external partners, and internal teams
  • Partnering with the AVP of Programs, Respite Care Team, Nursing Team, Human Resources, and other colleagues to ensure consistency and excellence
  • Supporting documentation, compliance, training, staff development, and continuous program improvement
  • Serving as a culture leader for the direct care team by modeling Jill’s House’s mission, values, and guiding principles
What We're Looking For

We are looking for a leader who is compassionate, organized, and energized by leading by example to develop others and strengthen program quality. The ideal candidate will know how to motivate a team, create accountability, lead through change, and help staff deliver excellent, person‑centered care.

Qualified Candidates Will Have
  • Experience working with children or adults with intellectual disabilities
  • Strong knowledge of behavior support strategies and person‑centered care
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple direct reports
  • Strong coaching, communication, and staff development skills
  • The ability to encourage and model Christ‑centered engagement
  • The ability to remain calm, focused, and directive in emergency or escalated situations
  • Strong organizational, problem‑solving, leadership, and time management skills
  • Flexibility to adjust work availability as program needs shift, including some evenings and weekends
  • A willingness to partner across teams and support the needs of the ministryA commitment to affirming the McLean Bible Church Vision/Values and Standards of Christian Conduct
Education And Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree and two years of demonstrated professional excellence, with at least one year working with children or adults with disabilities; or
  • High school diploma with two years of demonstrated professional excellence and at least three years working with children or adults with disabilities in a residential setting.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a supervisory, leadership, or management role.
  • At least one year of experience working with children or adults with varying disabilities is required.
