Job summary

Jill’s House in Virginia is seeking part‑time, seasonal staff for 5 to 10 weekends per year to support campers and ensure safety and engagement. You will guide and supervise campers, assist with daily living activities, and work closely with volunteers to maintain a positive, nurturing environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or GED.
• Preferred experience working with people with disabilities.
• Patience and passion for working with children.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Flexible team player with a willingness to learn and grow.
• Physical strength and stamina to participate in camp activities.
• Affirm the McLean Bible Church Vision and Values and abide by standards of conduct.

Responsibilities

• Guide and supervise the campers to whom they are assigned.
• Assist with activities of daily living (toileting, showering, feeding, brushing teeth, etc.).
• Ensure safety of participants.
• Assist volunteers with camper engagement.
• Manage behaviors and redirect campers when behaviors arise.
• Complete camper documentation and adhere to Jill’s House policies and procedures.
• Stay inside a cabin with 8-10 campers.
• Complete bed checks every hour.
• Assist with check‑in on Friday night.
