Job summary

Jill's House is a Christian non-profit organization providing respite care and family support in Vienna, VA. We seek Direct Support Professionals to care for individuals with intellectual disabilities in our accessible respite setting near Washington, DC.

The DSP will supervise and assist participants, following each client’s service plan. Training is provided, and no prior experience is required for some roles. Weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old, high school graduate or GED.
• At least six months experience preferred.
• Physical strength and stamina to engage with individuals and perform activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Must be able to work weekend shifts.
• Patience, good oral and written communication skills.
• Great team skills, willingness to learn and grow.
• Must affirm the McLean Bible Church Vision and Values as well as abide by the Standards of Christian Conduct.

Responsibilities

• Performing a combination of basic care, assistance with activities of daily living, and activity guidance in a safe, nurturing environment.

Jill's House is seeking Direct Support Professionals to care for individuals with intellectual disabilities in our fully accessible respite resort in Vienna, Virginia just outside of Washington, DC.

The Direct Support Professional Is Responsible For

• The guidance and supervision of individuals to whom they are assigned.
• Performing a combination of basic care, assistance with activities of daily living, and activity guidance in a safe, nurturing environment.
• Following each client's service plan and ensuring a positive experience for all participants.
• Training and professional development is provided so experience is not required.

Available Shifts

• Tuesday & Thursday: 1 PM - 9 PM
• Wednesday & Friday: 6 AM - 10 AM
• Friday: 5 PM - 10 PM
• Saturday: 6 AM to 2 PM, 1 PM - 9 PM, and 6 AM - 6 PM
• Sunday: 6 AM - 4:30 PM, 1 PM - 4:30 PM
