Job summary

Weyerhaeuser’s Millport lumber operation is seeking dependable Weekend Production Technicians to join the full-time team. You will operate modern manufacturing equipment, feed and move materials, monitor quality, and support safe, efficient mill operations.

Training is provided and the position offers a clear path for advancement. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least two years in a relevant industrial setting, with weekend and shift flexibility.

Qualifications

  • At least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2 years of experience in manufacturing, production, warehousing, distribution, agriculture, or related industrial environment.
  • Ability to work weekends, overtime, holidays, and additional shifts when needed.
  • Ability to safely work around moving industrial equipment and machinery in hot, cold, dusty, and noisy environments with PPE.

Responsibilities

  • Operate automated manufacturing equipment and production machinery.
  • Feed, sort, stack, and move materials through the process.
  • Monitor product quality and identify defects.
  • Load and unload materials safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas through routine housekeeping.
  • Follow standard operating procedures and safety expectations.
  • Learn multiple production areas to support operational flexibility.
  • Collaborate with teammates to improve safety, quality, and productivity.
