Job summary

Rapid Micro Biosystems is seeking a Production Operator for weekend shifts in Lowell, MA. This part-time role supports product demand while meeting production quality, yield, and cost-control goals and operates production equipment in a team-based environment.

Qualifications include a high school diploma with 2 years of related experience or an Associate’s degree, at least 1 year of cleanroom experience with full gowning, strong aseptic technique and lab skills, ability to pass pre-employment

Qualifications

• High school diploma with 2 years of related experience or an Associate’s degree.
• At least 1 year of cleanroom experience; full cleanroom gowning is required.
• Strong aseptic technique and laboratory skills.
• Must pass pre-employment drug test and background check.
• Willingness to complete company-provided cleanroom certification.

Responsibilities

• Follow the daily production schedule.
• Ensure materials are stocked and ready before production begins.
• Verify equipment is calibrated and functioning properly (balances/scales, Mediaclave, etc.).
• Clean and sanitize equipment, the cleanroom, and work areas before and after production.
• Weigh and measure materials accurately.
• Record lot numbers, serial numbers, calibration information, and QC results (pH, temperature, TOC).
• Complete batch records accurately and in full.
• Support IQ/OQ/PQ equipment qualification testing.
• Update and post production status information.
• Print and verify product labels as needed.
• Follow cGMP, ISO and company quality procedures.
