Job summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services is seeking a diagnostic medical sonographer to perform ultrasound exams in a weekend PRN capacity at our Socorro, NM facility. You will prepare rooms, operate ultrasound equipment, review orders, and ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the procedure.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in related health science or graduate of an accredited program preferred.
• New Mexico Sonography License required.
• Sonographer certification by ARDMS, ARRT, and/or CCI required.
• Current BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam room and ultrasound equipment for sonography exams per safety protocols.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during the examination.
• Review patient history and order completeness for medical necessity.
• Perform diagnostic sonography and acquire optimal images.
• Communicate findings to supervising provider and document preliminary results.
