Qualifications

• Associates Degree or equivalent in a health-related field.
• NM Sonography License required and ARDMS/ARRT/CCI certification.
• Current BLS certification required and updated licensure in ultrasound.
• Qualified modalities must be held as initial licensure (AB, OB/GYN, BR, PS, ARRT(S)).

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam room and ultrasound equipment and ensure patient safety.
• Perform diagnostic ultrasound exams as ordered by supervising provider.
• Review patient history and ensure clinical information is complete.
• Verify orders meet medical necessity and document findings.
• Maintain patient privacy and adhere to HIPAA and facility policies.
• Communicate results and preliminary findings to interpreting physician.
• Operate equipment safely and apply proper scanning techniques.
• Contribute to daily operations and quality assurance within the facility.
