Job summary

Emerald Nursing & Rehab Cozad is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse to join a weekend rotation providing RN coverage. The role emphasizes flexibility, eight consecutive hours on Saturdays and Sundays, and collaboration with the Nursing team to deliver high-quality resident care.

The RN will administer medications, perform assessments, and coordinate with physicians and therapists to implement individualized plans. Strong clinical skills and communication are essential in this as-needed role.

Qualifications

• ADN or BSN from an accredited program.
• Current RN license in NE.
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
• 1 year of experience in skilled nursing or long-term care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care including assessments, treatment planning, and medication administration.
• Coordinate with physicians, therapists, and other professionals to develop care plans.
• Communicate with residents, families, and team members about patient status.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation per policies.
• Mentor and supervise nursing staff to ensure adherence to care protocols.
• Ensure nursing practices comply with regulations and infection control standards.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and stabilize patients as needed.
• Participate in weekend, night, and holiday scheduling on a rotation.
