Job summary

Northpoint Nebraska in Omaha is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for PRN coverage. The role involves providing and coordinating medical services for a patient caseload, developing and implementing treatment and discharge plans with a multidisciplinary team.

The RN will document care, communicate with staff and providers, and ensure safety and adherence to licensure. Schedule requires 3 twelve-hour shifts per month, including one weekend shift.

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered RN license in the state where services are rendered.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• CPR/First Aid/AED certification.
• Knowledge of EMR systems (KIPU preferred).
• Ability to work with diverse population and maintain professional boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Interact with patients and communicate observations to the multidisciplinary team.
• Administer medications and participate in education of patients.
• De-escalation skills to maintain safety for patients and staff.
• Provide admission, orientation, and discharge planning to patients and families.
• Develop treatment and discharge plans with the team to ensure quality care.
• Document medical assessments and progress notes in the patient record.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and report maintenance needs.
• Oversee quality assurance and compliance activities.
