Job summary

Nashville Center For Rehabilitation and Healing seeks a full-time Respiratory Therapist to join our skilled nursing team. The RT will assess and progress residents with respiratory and related conditions, and operate a range of therapies and equipment with minimal supervision.

The role emphasizes care for geriatric residents, adherence to facility protocols, and participation in interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality pulmonary and bedside treatments.

Qualifications

• Licensed Respiratory Therapist with RRT or CRT credentials.
• Graduate of COARC-accredited AS or BS Respiratory program.
• Ability to evaluate and treat independently without direct supervision.
• Experience in geriatric population care.

Responsibilities

• Complete assessments and implement respiratory techniques to progress rehab patients.
• Initiate therapies, maintain records, operate and assemble equipment.
• Perform bedside treatments and daily, weekly, monthly documentation.
• Participate in IDT meetings and track caseloads.
• Provide care including tracheotomy experience and pulmonary therapies.

Schedule

• This will be your standing schedule. We are looking for a RT that can work the following schedule below consistently.
  • 4- 6 hours per shift; maybe up to 8 hours depending on caseload
  • Saturday and Sunday

Respiratory Therapist (RT)

Looking for a full time talented and motivated Respiratory Therapist to join our dynamic team. The position is within a Skilled Nursing facility. Candidate should possess passion for geriatric population, must contain a license in the state of practice, be able to evaluate and treat independently without direct supervision, and posses the desire to perform functional therapeutic activities to assist residents improve in their experience.

Job Description

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques to maintain and progress the rehab patients with many different Respiratory illness/diseases and non respiratory illness.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment
• Complete a variety of bedside treatments
• Complete in-services for nursing staff every quarter
• Responsible for completing daily, weekly and monthly documentation
• Attend applicable IDT meetings
• Experience with tracheotomy
• Experience is a long term care setting
• Follow procedure and protocol of facility
• Completes tracking, auditing and caseload management
• Performs related duties as required
