Job summary

Nashville Center For Rehabilitation and Healing is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist to join our skilled nursing team in Ashland City, TN. The role requires independent assessment and treatment of respiratory conditions, with experience in long-term care and tracheostomy care preferred.

Licensure as an RRT or CRT and BLS certification are required. You'll provide bedside therapies, document care, and participate in IDT meetings, with a schedule of 4–6 hour shifts on weekends.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC-accredited respiratory program; licensed as RRT/CRT.
• BLS certification and active state license are required.

Responsibilities

• Complete respiratory assessments and therapies for diverse patient populations.
• Initiate therapies, maintain records, set up and check equipment.
• Conduct bedside treatments and quarterly nursing in-services.
• Document daily, weekly, and monthly care activities.
• Attend IDT meetings and manage caseload with tracheostomy care experience.
• Follow facility procedures for long-term care interventions.

Schedule

• This will be your standing schedule. We are looking for a RT that can work the following schedule below consistently.
  • 4- 6 hours per shift; maybe up to 8 hours depending on caseload
  • Saturday and Sunday

Respiratory Therapist (RT)

Looking for a full time talented and motivated Respiratory Therapist to join our dynamic team. The position is within a Skilled Nursing facility. Candidate should possess passion for geriatric population, must contain a license in the state of practice, be able to evaluate and treat independently without direct supervision, and posses the desire to perform functional therapeutic activities to assist residents improve in their experience.

Job Description

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques to maintain and progress the rehab patients with many different Respiratory illness/diseases and non respiratory illness.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment
• Complete a variety of bedside treatments
• Complete in-services for nursing staff every quarter
• Responsible for completing daily, weekly and monthly documentation
• Attend applicable IDT meetings
• Experience with tracheotomy
• Experience is a long term care setting
• Follow procedure and protocol of facility
• Completes tracking, auditing and caseload management
• Performs related duties as required
