Job summary

Nashville Center For Rehabilitation and Healing seeks a full-time Respiratory Therapist to join our geriatric-focused team in a Skilled Nursing facility in Tennessee. The RT must hold state licensure (RRT or CRT) and be able to evaluate and treat independently with a commitment to high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities include bedside treatments, initiating therapies, maintaining records, and participating in IDT meetings.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program and licensed as RRT or CRT.
• Licensed in the state in which practicing; BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Complete assessments and apply respiratory techniques to rehab patients.
• Initiate therapies and maintain patient records.
• Perform bedside treatments and operate respiratory equipment.
• Provide in-services for nursing staff quarterly.
• Complete daily, weekly and monthly documentation.
• Attend IDT meetings and contribute to caseload management.
• Experience with tracheostomy and long-term care settings.
• Follow facility policies and procedures.

Schedule

• This will be your standing schedule. We are looking for a RT that can work the following schedule below consistently.
  • 4- 6 hours per shift; maybe up to 8 hours depending on caseload
  • Saturday and Sunday

Respiratory Therapist (RT)

Looking for a full time talented and motivated Respiratory Therapist to join our dynamic team. The position is within a Skilled Nursing facility. Candidate should possess passion for geriatric population, must contain a license in the state of practice, be able to evaluate and treat independently without direct supervision, and posses the desire to perform functional therapeutic activities to assist residents improve in their experience.

Job Description

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques to maintain and progress the rehab patients with many different Respiratory illness/diseases and non respiratory illness.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment
• Complete a variety of bedside treatments
• Complete in-services for nursing staff every quarter
• Responsible for completing daily, weekly and monthly documentation
• Attend applicable IDT meetings
• Experience with tracheotomy
• Experience is a long term care setting
• Follow procedure and protocol of facility
• Completes tracking, auditing and caseload management
• Performs related duties as required
