Job summary

Nashville Center For Rehabilitation and Healing is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our geriatric care team in a Skilled Nursing setting. This full-time role requires independent assessment and treatment of residents, with a focus on improving respiratory function and comfort.

The RT will follow established protocols, document care, participate in IDT meetings, and provide bedside therapies, oxygen management, and airway clearance, including tracheostomy care when needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program and licensed.
• Licensed in the practice state with BLS certification.
• Experience in long-term care settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete assessments and implement respiratory therapies.
• Initiate therapies, maintain records and operate equipment.
• Provide bedside treatments and in-services for staff quarterly.
• Document daily, weekly and monthly activities and caseloads.
• Attend IDT meetings and care planning sessions.
• Care for patients with tracheostomy and airway management.

Schedule

• This will be your standing schedule. We are looking for a RT that can work the following schedule below consistently.
  • 4- 6 hours per shift; maybe up to 8 hours depending on caseload
  • Saturday and Sunday

Respiratory Therapist (RT)

Looking for a full time talented and motivated Respiratory Therapist to join our dynamic team. The position is within a Skilled Nursing facility. Candidate should possess passion for geriatric population, must contain a license in the state of practice, be able to evaluate and treat independently without direct supervision, and posses the desire to perform functional therapeutic activities to assist residents improve in their experience.

Job Description

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques to maintain and progress the rehab patients with many different Respiratory illness/diseases and non respiratory illness.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment
• Complete a variety of bedside treatments
• Complete in-services for nursing staff every quarter
• Responsible for completing daily, weekly and monthly documentation
• Attend applicable IDT meetings
• Experience with tracheotomy
• Experience is a long term care setting
• Follow procedure and protocol of facility
• Completes tracking, auditing and caseload management
• Performs related duties as required
