Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System is seeking a Supplemental Physical Therapist for PRN weekend coverage. The role involves assessing patients, developing treatment plans, and providing instruction to patients and caregivers.

The incumbent will mentor staff and supervise assistants, students and interns while acting as a clinical resource within the department. Responsibilities include documentation, program development support, and collaboration with therapists and management.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s or graduate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Licenses/Certifications: Current license to practice Physical Therapy by Texas Board of Physical Therapy Examiners or by the Physical Therapy Compact Commission.
• CPR/Basic Life Support certification current.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and develop/initiate treatment plans.
• Provide instruction to patients and caregivers.
• Mentor and supervise assistants, students, interns and rehab technicians.
• Serve as clinical resource for staff and hospital committees.
• Maintain documentation and adhere to policies.
