Job summary

First Day Homecare, LLC is seeking an experienced registered nurse to perform skilled nursing functions for adult clients in Burt, MI. You will work under physician orders and provide care per the client care plan, documenting changes and ensuring safety.

The role involves administering medications, coordinating with the care team, and delivering 1:1 care in a home setting. Requires an active Michigan RN license, CPR certification, and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN license in Michigan.
• CPR certification.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license with insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care per the Nurse Practice Act and client care plan.
• Document changes in orders in the medical record.
• Administer medications and monitor client status per physician orders.
• Collaborate with the care team to coordinate services.
• Ensure client safety and comply with agency policies.
• Participate in care coordination and agency meetings.

Schedule / Expected Work Hours

• Adult aged client in Burt, MI. Day shift nurse needed Friday-Monday 8a-6p

Job Summary

Performs skilled nursing functions in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and within the guidelines of professional standards and the Nurse Practice Act. All nursing services provided will be under the direction of medical practitioner (MD, DO, NP, PA, etc.) orders.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care as defined in the state Nurse Practice Act.
• Provides care in accordance with medical practitioner orders and the client’s care plan.
• Maintains orders for clients and documents all changes in orders in the medical record following Agency procedures.
• The scope of clinical practice includes personal care services, monitoring and reporting findings, medication administration, client teaching, emergency intervention, and specialized pediatric services such as tracheostomy care, ventilator management, and tube feedings.
• Works collaboratively with other members of the client’s care team.
• Promotes personal safety and a safe environment for clients and coworkers.
• Performs job in compliance with Agency policies, procedures, and applicable payor and accreditation standards.
• Participates in the coordination of care and attends Agency meetings as requested.
• Performs other related duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current license to practice as an RN in the state of operation.
• Current CPR certification.
• Demonstrated written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Licensed driver with automobile insured in accordance with state and/or Agency requirements.
