First Day Homecare, LLC seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide skilled nursing care for an adult client in Burt, MI. You will follow medical orders, deliver care per the client plan, document changes, and support the care team to ensure high-quality service.

Responsibilities include medication administration, care coordination, and maintaining rigorous documentation. Requires an active LPN license, CPR, and a valid driver’s license with insurance.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current LPN license in the state of operation.
• Current CPR certification.
• Demonstrated written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Licensed driver with automobile insured according to state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care as defined by the state's Nurse Practice Act.
• Follows orders and client care plan; documents changes in medical records.
• Maintains client orders and updates the medical record per agency procedures.
• Performs personal care, monitoring, medication administration, client teaching, and emergency interventions; supports pediatric needs as required.

Schedule / Expected Work Hours

• Adult aged client in Burt, MI. Day shift nurse needed Friday-Monday 8a-6p

Job Summary

Performs skilled nursing functions in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and within the guidelines of professional standards and the Nurse Practice Act. All nursing services provided will be under the direction of medical practitioner (MD, DO, NP, PA, etc.) orders.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care as defined in the state Nurse Practice Act.
• Provides care in accordance with medical practitioner orders and the client’s care plan.
• Maintains orders for clients and documents all changes in orders in the medical record following Agency procedures.
• The scope of clinical practice includes personal care services, monitoring and reporting findings, medication administration, client teaching, emergency intervention, and specialized pediatric services such as tracheostomy care, ventilator management, and tube feedings.
• Works collaboratively with other members of the client’s care team.
• Promotes personal safety and a safe environment for clients and coworkers.
• Performs job in compliance with Agency policies, procedures, and applicable payor and accreditation standards.
• Participates in the coordination of care and attends Agency meetings as requested.
• Performs other related duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary.
