Job summary

Advocate Health in Chicago is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist for a weekend position. You will evaluate patients using musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, cardiopulmonary, and integumentary methods, and establish a plan of care with functional goals to guide treatment.

You will monitor outcomes, adjust plans, document care, and participate in discharge planning with home programs. Safety, collaboration, and compliance with policy are essential.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (PT) from an accredited program.
• Licensed Physical Therapist in the state you work.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers (AHA).
• No prior experience required.
• Intermediate computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Interpret physician referrals and perform evaluations (musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, cardiopulmonary, integumentary).
• Establish and implement a plan of care with functional goals; monitor outcomes and adjust as needed.
• Plan for discharge, provide home programs and patient/family teaching; coordinate with community services.
• Complete documentation per policy including evaluations, progress notes, discharge summaries, and billing.
• Maintain safety and infection control; ensure equipment readiness and cleanliness.
• May supervise PT assistants or students per policy and contribute to performance improvement.
