Job summary

TriCore Reference Laboratories is seeking a Clinical Lab Assistant - Phlebotomist for SRMC. The role includes Saturday-Sunday shifts 0900-2100, on-call duties, and potential apprenticeship for those without experience. Regular attendance is essential, with compensation based on modalities performed.

Preferred candidates will have PBT (ASCP) or equivalent certification and completion of a CLA program. Good driving record and ability to work in a healthcare setting are required.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• PBT (ASCP) or equivalent certification preferred.
• Completion of a relevant CLA program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties in a professional and courteous manner.
• Maintains supplies and inventory for department.
• Observe students and/or new staff as needed.
• Demonstrates problem solving to ensure patient care quality.
• Handles on-call responsibilities by location.
• Exhibits professional telephone and verbal communication.
• Maintains confidentiality of information.
• Participates in on-call coverage and holiday/weekend shifts.
• Completes clerical tasks as needed, including documentation.
