Job summary

Veterans in Healthcare in Little Rock, AR seeks a licensed pharmacist with a PharmD to evaluate, design, implement, monitor and modify patient-specific pharmacotherapy. The pharmacist provides clinical support to other professionals and ensures proper preparation, storage and delivery of medications within the hospital system.

Responsibilities include assisting the Clinical Coordinator and Directors in medication management initiatives, and precepting IPPE/APPE students as eligible.

Qualifications

• Graduate of ACPE accredited College of Pharmacy with a Doctorate of Pharmacy degree preferred.
• Active license to practice Pharmacy from the Arkansas Board of Pharmacy (in good standing).
• Completion of an ASHP accredited PGY‑1 Residency program preferred.
• Eligible to precept IPPE and/or APPE students from ACPE accredited Colleges of Pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, recommend, design, implement, monitor, and modify patient-specific pharmacotherapy.
• Provide clinical assistance to other healthcare professionals and ensure proper preparation, storage and delivery of medications.
• Assist the Clinical Coordinator, Supervisors and Director of Pharmacy in hospital or system-wide medication management initiatives.
• Collaborate on ongoing medication management initiatives to improve patient outcomes.
