Job summary

Recruiting.com LLC in Arkansas is seeking a licensed Pharmacist to join our hospital-based pharmacy team. The role emphasizes direct patient care and clinical decision support, including reviewing orders, advising on drug therapy, and ensuring safe, effective pharmacotherapy.

The ideal candidate has a PharmD, Arkansas licensure, at least three years of experience (or completed PGY1), and a strong commitment to patient safety.

Qualifications

• PharmD degree required and Arkansas licensure or eligibility.
• Minimum three (3) years pharmacist experience in direct patient care or completion of PGY1 residency program.
• This is a safety sensitive position. Please see the St. Bernards Substance Abuse Policy for further information.
• Normal hospital environment; lifting up to 35 lbs; exposure to chemical hazards when making chemotherapy.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized pharmaceutical services to improve drug utilization and outcomes.
• Advise prescribers on issues concerning drug therapy, toxicity, side effects, and dosing.
• Review medication orders and coordinate preparation, labeling, and dispensing of medications.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations pertaining to pharmacy practice.
• Support clinical leadership in developing policies, procedures, and order sets to ensure safe and economical pharmacotherapy.
• Participate in patient care/clinical committees and educate/train pharmacy staff and residents.
