Job summary

Baptist Health in Arkansas is seeking a pharmacist with a Pharm.D. or B.S. Pharm. who is licensed to practice in Arkansas. The role emphasizes evaluating and optimizing patient-specific pharmacotherapy and providing clinical support to the care team.

The ideal candidate will have ACPE-accredited education, eligibility to precept IPPE/APPE students, and a preference for completion of a PGY-1 residency. This position supports hospital-wide medication management initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Pharmacist with a B.S. Pharm. or Pharm.D. and Arkansas licensure.
  • Graduation from ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy preferred.
  • ASHP PGY-1 Residency preferred.
  • Eligible to precept IPPE and APPE students from ACPE-accredited colleges.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, recommend, design, implement, monitor, and modify patient-specific pharmacotherapy.
  • Provide clinical assistance to other healthcare professionals.
  • Ensure proper preparation, storage, and delivery of medications.
  • Assist Clinical Coordinator, Supervisors, and Director of Pharmacy in medication management initiatives.

Job description

Department: Pharmacy

Shift: PRN

Working Hours: M-F 7a - 8pS-S 7a - 7p

Summary: A pharmacist who has earned a B.S. Pharm. or Pharm.D. degree and is licensed to practice as a pharmacist in Arkansas will evaluate, recommend, design, implement, monitor, and/or modify patient-specific pharmacotherapy. The pharmacist will provide clinical assistance to other healthcare professionals. The pharmacist will ensure proper preparation, storage, and delivery of medications. The pharmacist will also assist the Clinical Coordinator, Supervisors, and Director of Pharmacy in hospital and/or system-wide medication management initiatives on an ongoing basis.

Other information: Graduate of an ACPE accredited College of Pharmacy with a Doctorate of Pharmacy degree preferred. Active license to practice Pharmacy from the Arkansas Board of Pharmacy (in good standing).Completion of ASHP accredited PGY-1 Residency program preferred. Eligible to precept ippe and/or APPE students from ACPE accredited Colleges of Pharmacy.

This job will be authorized 0.01 hours bi-weekly.
