Job summary

MSPCA-Angell in Boston, MA seeks a part-time Boarding Assistant for the Boarding and Grooming Department. This on-site role requires weekend shifts and involves high-quality pet care, monitoring, and coordination with staff to ensure comfort and safety for canine and feline guests.

The ideal candidate has a HS diploma, 6 months of animal handling and customer service experience, with Fear Free preferred. Benefits include health and dental insurance and paid time off.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred (or working toward).
• Fear Free certification/experience preferred.
• Minimum 6 months of animal handling experience preferred.
• Minimum 6 months of customer service experience required.

Responsibilities

• Care for boarding dogs and cats, ensuring comfort and safety.
• Collect, wash and manage laundry; maintain clean Boarding Wards.
• Administer medications and feedings as instructed by owners.
• Document records and communicate with owners and staff.
• Assist with scheduling boarding and communicating policies.
