Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
• Experience in a hospital setting or strong secretarial/customer service background is desirable.
• Ability to coordinate multiple tasks, maintain confidentiality, and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and families, collect admission information, identify patients, and assign armbands.
• Notify nurses and departments of patient arrivals and admissions from OR or PACU.
• Log patient data into Epic for event times and length of stay; correct records as needed.
• Prepare patient schedules for front desk, preop, OR, and PACU areas; update as needed.
• Coordinate valuables, discharge transportation, and family communications.
• Assist with language interpretation and maintain unit supplies and equipment.
• Float to other areas when needed and perform related duties as assigned.
