Job summary

R1 RCM Inc. is seeking a Patient Registration Customer Service Representative to greet patients and guide them through the registration process at Ascension St. Thomas Stones River Hospital. You will gather information accurately while remaining compassionate in a busy healthcare setting.

Ideal candidates have strong customer service experience, are quick learners, and comfortable working with multiple systems. Training is provided, and a competitive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Strong customer service experience.
• Ability to pass background check, drug test, and vaccination requirements.
• Medical or healthcare experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Work across multiple computer systems to register patients efficiently
• Answer phones and gather information quickly and accurately
• Assist patients who may be ill, anxious, or confused
• Navigate diverse insurance plans and coverage details (with training!)
• Adapt to interruptions from clinical teams during urgent care situations
• Build rapport and ease patient concerns in real time
