Job summary

Legacy of Delano, a Lifespark Senior Living Community, is seeking a part-time Cook/Chef to join our team at the Delano location. The role includes preparing meals to meet resident diets, ensuring food safety, and supporting a warm, caring dining experience for residents and families.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a senior living setting is preferred.
• Must be able to relate professionally, positively, and cooperatively with residents, families, and employees.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve food in accordance with planned menus, diet plans, recipes, portions, and temperature control procedures.
• Direct and assist in cleaning and sanitizing work areas, equipment and floors, dishes, and utensils.
• Check all trays for menu and diet requirements and preference and accuracy.
• Ensure proper storage for food and supplies.
• Review and process diet changes and ensure menus are maintained and followed in accordance with established procedures.
