Job summary

Legend Senior Living is hiring a part-time Cook who will contribute to nourishing meals using fresh ingredients and the Gold Leaf Dining standards that define our high-quality atmosphere. You will support the kitchen team to provide meals from scratch for our residents, with early meal service and a focus on life-enriching dining experiences.

The role emphasizes reliable, friendly service, maintaining cleanliness, and collaborating with dietary staff to meet residents' needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of experience in a commercial restaurant.
• Ability to provide the highest level of culinary service and professional interaction to residents and associates.
• Able to work well in a fast-paced environment, be organized, flexible, and self-motivated.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on assistance with residents' dietary needs and fulfill special meal requests when needed.
• Prepare meals from the menu plan and assist with serving the meals.
• Maintain cleanliness of production and service areas.
• Inspect work, storage, preparation, and service areas to meet food service standards and regulations.
• Follow safe work procedures for injury prevention, food safety, and infection control.
• Label and date all food in the refrigerator, freezer, and dry storage.
