Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation is hiring a Part Time Recreation Assistant based at West Charlotte Recreation Center. This position will work approximately 19 hours per week with daytime hours and possible evenings, weekends, and holidays.

You will assist recreation staff with programming, leisure activities and events for diverse populations, including arts, crafts, games, athletics, fitness and summer camps.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• No experience required for this position.
• Valid North Carolina or South Carolina Driver’s License and CPR/First Aid is required.

Responsabilités

• Provide customer service and handle program registrations and center rentals.
• Ensure safety of participants and administer first aid when necessary.
• Enforce rules and collect fees for programs and rentals.
• Assist with maintenance of facilities and light duties.
• Support events, field trips and special programs.
