Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation is seeking a Part Time Recreation Assistant to join the Elon Recreation Center team. You will help run recreation and leisure activities for diverse populations, focusing on customer service, registrations, and program information.

Flexibility to work daytime, evenings, weekends, and holidays is expected. The role supports athletics, fitness, events, and afterschool programs, with duties including safety, customer inquiries, and light facility maintenance.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in customer-facing roles preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with cash handling and basic clerical tasks.
• Good communication and teamwork skills welcome.

Aufgaben

• Provide customer service and handle funds for program registrations and center use.
• Ensure safety of participants and administer basic first aid when needed.
• Enforce rules and regulations of the recreation facility.
• Collect fees and registrations for programs and facility rentals.
• Assist in light maintenance of facilities and recreational areas.
• Referee or timekeeper support for sports activities when needed.
• Assist with events and field trips as required.
