Job summary
HCA Healthcare Trident Hospital in Florence, SC seeks a PACU Registered Nurse to provide immediate post-operative care, monitor neurological and cardiac status, manage airway support, and collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams. This role includes on-call availability during select non-business hours and on-going care planning with the team.
This position requires ACLS/BCLS/PALS certifications and an RN license obtained within 90 days of start date, with an Associate Degree as a minimum.
Qualifications
- ACLS, BCLS and PALS certifications required or obtained within 90 days of start date.
- RN license required within 90 days of employment start date.
- Associate Degree in nursing or related field required.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care to post-operative patients in PACU.
- Monitor airway, neurological and cardiac status, and respond to complications.
- Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams to ensure patient safety.
- Perform initial wound care and ensure stability during recovery.
- Educate patients and families about medical conditions, treatments and follow-up measures.
