Job summary

HCA Healthcare Trident Hospital in North Charleston, SC, seeks a PACU Registered Nurse to provide high-quality post-operative care, monitor airway, neuro and cardiac status, and collaborate with the surgical and anesthesia teams to ensure patient stability.

This role includes on-call availability and a commitment to evidence-based practice, patient education, and continuous improvement. Required certifications ACLS, BCLS, PALS within 90 days of start and an RN license with an associate degree.

Qualifications

• ACLS within 90 days is required.
• BCLS within 90 days is required.
• PALS within 90 days is required.
• RN Registered Nurse license required within 90 days of employment start date.
• Associate Degree required as minimum education.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in the PACU.
• Collaborate with surgeons and anesthesia providers for care plans.
• Continuously apply nursing process, critical thinking, and leadership.
• Assess patient condition, monitor status, and document changes.
• Educate patients and families about condition, treatment and follow-up.
