Job summary

The Marzetti Company is hiring for a 2nd shift packaging operator at the Horse Cave Plant in Kentucky. The role focuses on operating fillers, ensuring product is properly sealed and packaged, loading supplies, and supporting the packaging line to keep production running.

This climate-controlled facility requires attention to safety, quality, and team collaboration; responsibilities span from PPE compliance to line setup, weight checks, and assisting machine operators across shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing environments with repetitive work preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally & written with team members and management.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and good math skills are helpful.
• Ability to read & interpret written & verbal directions in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate packaging equipment and assist in loading and feeding the line.
• Inspect product and packaging to meet specifications and quality standards.
• Assist in setting up machines and ensuring proper materials are loaded and positioned correctly.
• Monitor weight control and codes for accuracy; report any issues to maintenance.
• Maintain safety, cleanliness, and housekeeping in the work area.
• Provide training support and assist other operators as needed.
