Nurse Care of Buckhead is seeking a dependable LPN or RN to provide quality weekend overnight nursing care for residents in Atlanta, GA. The role covers Friday to Sunday, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with responsibilities including administering medications, monitoring residents, and ensuring accurate documentation.

The ideal candidate holds an active LPN or RN license, has at least 1 year of nursing experience, and demonstrates strong clinical judgment and communication skills.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide and oversee nursing care for residents on the weekend unit.
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and facility policies.
• Monitor residents' conditions, vital signs, comfort, and safety needs.
• Recognize and report changes in condition, incidents, and other significant concerns.
• Complete accurate and timely nursing documentation, including progress notes and care-related records.
• Receive and provide thorough shift reports and follow up on resident care needs.
• Follow resident care plans and ensure CNAs are following established care approaches.
• Monitor CNA documentation and communicate resident care needs to the appropriate staff.
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers as needed.
• Participate in care planning, quality improvement activities, in-services, and staff meetings.
• Follow all applicable federal, state, local, and facility regulations and policies.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies and changing resident needs.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, physicians, therapists, and other members of the care team.
• Perform other nursing duties as assigned.
