Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited physical therapy school required; MS or DPT preferred.
• Licensed to practice Physical Therapy in the state with current licensure; APTA membership encouraged.
• CPR certification required every two years.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care assessment and treatment with comprehensive evaluation and realistic goals.
• Maintains accurate patient documentation including evaluations, progress notes, and discharge notes.
• Meets department productivity and budget expectations and adjusts schedules as needed.
• Participates in process improvements to enhance quality and efficiency of services.
• Promotes education of healthcare staff and provides in-service training.
• Supervises PT and PTA students to develop clinical skills and ensure quality care.
• Communicates professionally with patients, physicians, staff, and external customers.
• Delivers patient care in accordance with age/developmental guidelines and hospital standards.
