Banner Health's Surg-Hosp in Tucson, AZ is seeking a full-time Surgical Technologist. The role includes selecting and supplying instruments during surgery, scrubbing in, and supporting OR turnover.
Eligible staff may participate in training and mentoring of students in the surgical tech program. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, current BLS certification, and either certification as a surgical technologist or 2–3 years of relevant experience.

Employment Type: Full-time Hours per Week: 40 hours | 4x10s Shift: 06:45-17:45 Schedule: Monday-Friday On Call: Yes, weekend and holiday rotations required. Enjoy a flat rate $5/hr for call, $1/hour weekend shift differential and an 18%-night shift differential, when applicable. We are an Arizona Department of Health Services-accredited Cardiac Receiving Center and a Nurses Improving Care for Health system Elders-designated senior-friendly hospital. The hospital is staffed by physicians who are full-time faculty of the University of Arizona College of Medicine - Tucson and is managed by Banner Health under an operating agreement with Pima County. Our specialty services include inpatient and outpatient behavioral health, treatment and education for diabetes, innovative geriatrics care and comprehensive orthopedics.
This position selects and places surgical instruments, supplies and equipment during surgery. Scrubs and provides instruments, sutures, and other sterile supplies during surgical procedure. Participants in the training and orientation of surgical technology staff and students, as assigned. Is proficient to scrub on a minimum of two surgical specialties.
Internal customers are patients, surgeons, and nursing staff. External customers may include practicing physicians, patient families and vendors or sales reps.
